Doing Well, Except After Eating Cookies
And then there was yesterday, when I let him eat three chocolate cookies after school. He was very hyper all afternoon and evening--could not relax and amuse himself, was bugging me to get on the computer or something like that all the time.
I have let him have a vanilla milk shake after school before, and that doesn't cause this. So it isn't the sugar. Perhaps it is the chocolate.
next time it happens, up the magnesium aspartate and see the episode disappear... if it is the thyroid.
we expect ASD to have low thyroid - and bipolar to have high thyroid...
did the AK check him for aluminum?
with everything I'm reading from you, I'm getting this picture of high aluminum, high thyroid, bad bacteria/yeast forming in my mind... it's all the "same picture" as all these things are related...
black walnut is a thyroid depressor - you can ask for that to be tested. Lemon balm (aka "melissa") is also a great herb that helps all these things and it helps with putting the kids to sleep... You can get both for $20 at the HFS.
HTH...
