I’m thrilled to report that one of my Roland picture books has won a finalist designation in the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) Kidlit Contest! ACFW is the premier Christian fiction writers’ organization, long focusing on works for adults, but now for children also.
Oddly enough, I don’t know which book: Roland 1 or Roland 2, since I submitted both. But I am guessing Roland 2, Roland Runs from God. That book has generated tears in some adults who pick it up at book fairs and read it.
It’s a 32-page picture book about a bold duckling, Roland, who decides to run away but is brought lovingly home by a wonderful God.
