While in England, I did a bit of time traveling. Those stone circles are just full of space-time energy, you know, and I was able to take advantage of that. See?

Doctor Who must have been following me. His time-traveling telephone call box (painted red instead of blue for some reason) was parked in so many places on my route. Every town has one, it seems, though some have fallen into disrepair, some hold defibrillators, and one even held a little scene with stuffed ducks. I’m sure each, in turn, is really Doctor Who’s TARDIS. Here, my friend Janet opens the door to display the ducks.

And, of course I’d love to meet some of the characters from my own books, particularly the long-lived medieval alchemists from the Guardians of Time Guild. What better place to contact them than The Society of Alchemists shop in York, U.K.? I was shocked that the Alchemists shop in York was so very like the headquarters of the Guardians of Time Guild in my kidlit book series. Well, the one in the books is a clock shop, and the one in York is not, but otherwise … great minds think alike???
